GOP talking points encourage using Lieberman to attack Democrats on war
John Byrne

A set of talking points sent out yesterday by the staff of House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) includes a quote from Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) -- a onetime Democrat -- as a means to attacking Democratic resolutions calling for US redeployment.

The full talking points leaked to RAW STORY are printed below. They carried the image above in an html-formatted email.

"House and Senate Democrat leaders have stated they oppose the increase in troops, and their whole idea of troop 'redeployment' would amount to little more than pulling out our troops and walking away," the release says.

"As Senator Joseph Lieberman (ID-CT) told the Wall Street Journal last week:

"The people in Congress, and the public, were quite right in saying the president's got to come up with a different approach. And he did. It's better than any other plan I've seen because it holds the hope of success. Most of the other plans are effectively just giving up and walking away."

5. Hey, Joe. Caucus with the Republicans and take the Senate.
We'll get our Lieberman-Proof Senate in 2008 and you can sit in the corner with the other losers.

Have your fun for now, Joe.

9. This just makes me want to work.
My 2 senators are not up for re-election here in CA, but I am willing to send a few thousand dollars to somebody like Al Franken or who ever is going to take on Sen. Sinunu or some other candidate taking on the republic incumbent. There are 21 of them to choose from, we only need 1 to make Lieberman irrelevant, we only need 10 to make the republic senators irrelevant.

them to stop abusing the English language. Please point out politely to your Republican friends that it is actually the House and Senate "Democratic" Leaders, but hey, what's a little "ic" among friends.

Say Hi to Hannity while you're at it. Maybe if you're really nice to your "good friend" Sean Hannity, he'll stop accusing honorable and decent men and women of being traitors for 3 hours each day.

Enjoy it while you can Joe. Have you taken a look at the number of Republican Senate seats up for election in 2008? All we need is one more and we can...AND SHOULD show you the fucking door.

I guess what they say is true. Nobody is totally worthless. At the least they can serve as a bad example, or a useful idiot. Which are you Joe?
