Blair rebuffs troop withdrawal call

... The suggestion was made in Question Time before he shied away from a parliamentary debate on Iraq.

Before the adjournment debate began, Liberal Democrats leader Sir Menzies Campbell proposed a staged withdrawal of Britain's 7,000-strong troop contingent in Iraq.

He criticised Mr Blair for choosing to address business leaders instead of attending the adjournment debate, which does not have the power to change British Government policy.

Mr Blair rejected a time-table for scaling down troop numbers but said he would comment after the current operation to secure Basra, where British troops are stationed, was complete.

1. I can't wait to read Blair's memoirs one day....
Maybe he'll explain why he hitched a once-promising term as prime minister to a loser like George W. Bush never ceases to mystify me.

3. because of the american civil war
Remember that britain supported the south in the civil war, along with the french,
being the prevailing military powers of that day, had the russians not come in on
behalf of the union with their navy, the civil war could have gone the other way.

Why? They supported the south to divide and destroy the american union that it not
be an effective competitor on the world stage... leaving more room for their own
'national interest'. Blair supports bush to weaken and destroy the USA.

4. Because he's an imperialist at heart, and Britain hasn't had an empire in over 60 years, so he needs

to hitch himself to Bush's empire.

He genuinely thinks he Knows Best for everyone in Britain and the entire world, and that he will be leaving a great legacy.

And that he and Bush can work together to achieve it.

This of course can be abbreviated as: Blair is a dangerously megalomaniac nutter!!!!
