U.S. claims it has evidence of Iran's interference in Iraq

The United States claimed on Wednesday that it has evidence that Iran is interfering in Iraqi issue and will soon publish details concerning Iran's network established in Iraq.

"There is solid evidence that Iranian agents are involved in these networks and that they are working with individuals and groups in Iraq and that they are being sent there by the Iranian government," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said at a briefing.

"In the near future, we are going to try to talk a little bit more in public -- to the extent that we can because, again, you're dealing with intelligence information -- about what we know of Iranian support for these networks," McCormack said.

The United States has repeatedly accused Iran of supporting the insurgents in Iraq and secretly developing nuclear weapons under the cover of a civilian nuclear program. Iran has denied these charges.

1. Ladies and gentlemen...
...the same buffoons who brought you "mushrooms clouds", "mobile weapons labs" and "aluminum tubes" now
bring you "Iranian agents are involved in Iraq".

(Just exactly how frickin dumb do they think we are?)

18. I don't really want to answer that ...
> (Just exactly how frickin dumb do they think we are?)

... considering how much the Bush administration have been restrained,
charged and punished for their crimes against humanity since these
deceptions became public.

Oops, my bad, things like that are still "off the table" aren't they?

3. It's no secret Iran has intelligence networks in Iraq.
It's no secret Iran has deep links to several parties in Iraq, two of which are al-Dawa and SCIRI; in other words, the core of the Shiite-led government that is not associated with Moqtada al-Sadr.

It's no secret that such links include financial support.

It's no secret that Iran is buying favor with individual Mahdi Army commanders.

It is apparently a very well kept secret, or a blatant untruth, that Iran is providing direct weapon support to the Mahdi Army which is then used directly in attacks on US troops.

9. There will be no "again" mr. bush - this time, there will be no money for you
"In the near future, we are going to try to talk a little bit more in public -- to the extent that we can because, again, you're dealing with intelligence information -- about what we know of Iranian support for these networks," McCormack said.

This time, a real congress of real concerned people are going to demand to see ALL the evidence and weigh it against true US interests.

I don't think Bush could pull it off in the year he has left to lead. There's no money for it.

And Iran is working on a long range missile that can reach the World Trade Center site - which you should all recall was the focus of the Iranian attack of 9/11.

These turds interfered in a sovereign country and turned it to shit.

F-them.

These turdbuckets also had "solid evidence" when the 'fat' Osama allegedly confessed to 9/11 on the VHS tape allegedly found in a house somewhere in Afghanistan. What a lucky find.

They are proven pathological liars.

20. au contraire. Their lies are not pathological - that assumes
that they have no control over their lying.

Actually, their lies are planned in advance, with malice aforethought, intent on convincing just enough of the US population so they have cover to start a war. THEN they can say, Ooops too late - we must protect the troops, you are being unpatriotic. Oops, if we leave now, bad guys will take over. Oops, so we made one little mistake, but don't you feel safer without Akmejidahistterraloverraghead.

It is NOT pathological; it is deliberate and planned.

23. duuh, like the korean war did not involve china
What are the stupid wasters in command of the military thinking... of course
they will draw iran in to keep them bogged down and away from its borders.
It is a very rational national defense strategy to fight on someone else's soil,
in this case, a nation that supported america in devastating iran in an ugly
war on iran... so any national security person worth their salt in iran would
make sure that the US lost its army in iraq and along with it, the political will
to continue the bush criminality.

This story deserves a big Duuh, and a pondering why such stupid people are allowed
to command the military.

27. Obviously, by the repsonses here, the admin has NO credibility
But I'm willing to grant them their claims: Yes, Iran is "meddling" in Iraq (and we aren't) and they are trying to develop nuclear weapons (but we never threaten anyone with them). I still see this as a consequence of bush's short-sighted greed and the neocons dismal plans for a greater war in the middle east. And I still don't see how it's MY problem. It is not "unacceptable" to me. It's damned unfortunate, but not too suprising given 6 years of the worst leadership the free world has ever seen and a congress that won't stand up to AIPAC. FUBAR. Not my problem.

35.  I don't know if it matters who believes them
I feel they will do whatever they want while they still have the power to do so . They may desire support but if they do begin bombing Iran once this begins there are many ways it can get out of control and I doubt if bush or cheney or the neocons care about the political aspects of their dealings .
