Two U.S. soldiers killed in western Iraq

BAGHDAD, Jan 17 (Reuters) - Two U.S. soldiers have been killed in western Iraq,
the U.S. military said on Wednesday.

One of the soldiers died on Monday, the other on Wednesday, a U.S. statement said,
adding that they died from wounds sustained in combat in the restive western province
of Anbar.

the 4 were killed in northern Iraq on Monday.

"Four Task Force Lightning Soldiers assigned to the 4th Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division were killed Monday as a result of an improvised explosive device while conducting operations in Nineveh province," it said, giving no other details.
