Wall Street to Rally on Saddam's Capture
Stocks look ready to rally when the market opens on Monday after the capture of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

In fact, analysts believe Saddam's capture will give a general boost to equities around the globe, as well as to the U.S. dollar and U.S. Treasuries.

"It's broadly positive for equity markets," said Hilary Cook, director of investment strategy at Barclays Stockbrokers. "Concerns over the situation in Iraq have weighed on sentiment and help explain why shares haven't rallied by as much as they could have in the face of some pretty positive economic data."

1. Oh yeah- I'm going to wush out and buy stock now
Oh the smell of desperation. The dollar is long finished... Did Bush not get the memo?

Carlyle Inc can manipulate the stocks all they want to make it appear as if Wall Street is rallying but Wall street won't rally in a lasting manner until we have a stable, intelligent person at the head of the country.

4. The emotional high won't last long. Truly can't understand why it's
as high as it is to begin with.

"Valuing the market, based on historical reported earnings, makes it look very expensive," said Gordon Fowler, chief investment officer of Glenmede Trust Co. in his weekly outlook. "Valuing it, based on projected operating earnings, makes it look reasonably priced.

"The truth lies somewhere in between."

7. Saddam's capture means nothing to The Street
Any rally probably a short-term trading opportunity. (Sell short!)

8. Baabaabaa...................
the sheeep will line up to be fleeced once again. The fact that Saddam's capture has nothing to do with the "war on terror" will totally escape them.
The Street will be awash in Bush love Monday...........the sheep will give more and more to corporate America, just to have it stolen again by the masters of war.

9. If only I'd held on to my Enron and Global Crossing stock!
Nothing like the capture of a US-sponsored dictator hiding in a mut hut to make everything...er...right...again.

10. How does his being captured
have ANY effect on anything? Everyone knew that if he was still alive, he was hiding in a rat-hole somehwere and certainly had no more power to influence anything that would affect businesses here.

12. After the first of the year.... just wait till the bottom falls out from
under this farce. I'm beginning to think that nothing short of a total collapse will wake his supporters/followers out of their ignorance :(

I'm giving it till end of January at the most because of the ELATED afterglow due to the upcoming holidays.
