Nevada congressman calls for House hearings into Halliburton
Rep. Jim Gibbons, R-Nev., called Saturday for congressional hearings of Vice President Dick Cheney's former company, calling allegations that it overcharged for fuel in Iraq "an absolute outrage."

Gibbons said he wants the House Armed Services Committee to hold hearings early next year on allegations that Halliburton Co. charged up to $61 million too much for delivering gasoline to Iraqi citizens under a no-bid contract. The company denies overcharging.

"If these allegations which were found in a Pentagon audit of government contracts is true, then it's time for Halliburton to break out its checkbook and refund American taxpayers," Gibbons said.

"I am equally outraged over reports that I have seen that have stated that another Pentagon audit found unclean conditions and rotting food in more than one cafeteria serving American personnel," Gibbons said.

1. The contract workers
are normally south east asians working for $3 a day! Halliburton could be paying Iraq's $3 a day to do the same work, and improve their society at the same time! Note that a married member of the Iraqi security forces, who we've been hearing so much about due to desertions, make $2 a day. Rather than pay Iraqis to perform these services, Halliburton would rather have them shipped in from 2000 miles away to do them. Why? Well there answer would be Iraqi's are a security threat, ironically. The truth is the longer things remain "insecure" in Iraq the more money Halliburton will make money there. The profit from chaos! They seek to create CHAOS! These people are truly evil.

Say, didya hear about the "new" FBI guidelines??? Yeah, they only have to answer to military courts when questioned about decisions. Pretty handy in the war on terror huh? I bet they will be just so incredibly efficient now. I mean, no one will be unscrutinized...

These are all, all honorable men. And we should just be quiet and believe them when they tell us so.
