Boehner urges Dems to heed Bush's call

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Incoming House Minority Leader John Boehner supported President Bush's call for increased restraint in fiscal spending Wednesday, while warning Democrats not to retreat from full disclosure of earmarks in all bills.

"We need to restrain spending, balance the budget, and bring greater accountability to the way Washington spends taxpayers' money," Boehner said in a statement. "If Democrats share our commitment to these objectives, Republicans stand ready to work with them."

In an opinion column in Wednesday's Wall Street Journal, Bush called for greater fiscal responsibility and bipartisanship as the 110th Congress is set to begin.

2. NOW the Republicans are all fiscally responsible, are they?
Okay, first thing we do is plug the hemorrhage of two elective wars that only serve to siphon money out of the Treasury directly into the overstuffed pockets of Bush's overrich friends. Can I get an Amen from the right side of the aisle?

Oooh, listen! Crickets!

Unreal. Republicoids' "commitment" to restrained spending, balanced budgets and accountability???

There's nothing lower than a person who can look you square in the eye and lie to you.

9. So now Boehner finally realizes there are Democrats in the room
If Democratic Speaker of the House acts the same way Boehner did when he was Speaker, Boehner would now be told to stfu and just do his assigned job of kissing butt of the majority party members.

I don't think that will happen, cause if it were going to, and they knew how serious it is, they would be doing it instead of partying for 4 days.
