New developments surrounding the health of Cuban President Fidel Castro. He has now released a statement vowing his recovering is going well.

The message came on the eve of the 48th anniversary of the revolution in Cuba. It is a part of a traditional message given to Cuban citizens every New Years Eve.

In the note, Castro says he is grateful for the affection and support of his people. He also admits his recovery has been a long process but says quote "It’s far from being a lost battle."

2. Maybe if we get campaign financing reform in the US.
Too much money to be made for campaigns (on both sides of the issue) by maintaining the status quo.

5. Those who want to normalize relations with
Cuba have little influence on capitol hill. I guess you mean both sides Dem and Repuke conspire to destroy the Cuban Revolution.

8. Big AG and travel have little influence?
Its not about results. Its about campaign contributions.

If the US embargo ended it would mean an end to the pro trade campaign platform gravy train.

3. Now that they've found oil in Cuba, Bush will want to be their
best friend. Either that, or he'll start another war.

4. He's not really good at making friends. He does, however, love to have his soldiers
go spill the blood of other people. What's the point of being a Republican President if you don't send soldiers to kill people in other countries?

Hey, you'd lose Republican respect!

6. My prediction: Castro will join Saddam in hell in 2007
I think he's 'protesting too much' that he's not dying. Still, no word on what he's suffering from.

9. Why don't you make a prediction on what he's suffering from?

Happy New Year.

7. I wish him well. Castro merits respect for successfully
standing up to the world's largest bully as long as he has.
