Iran: Iraq Violence Sparked By U.S. Says Top Cleric
Edited on Fri Dec-01-06 11:18 AM by ECH1969
The leader of Friday prayers in Tehran, Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami, accused the United States of being behind sectarian conflict in Iraq to justify their presence in the region.

"People infiltrated by Israel in Iraq feed the war between Sunnis and Shiites,". "The war between Sunnis and Shiites is useful to Israel to weaken Muslim countries and become stronger in the region."

"The Israelis act in Iraq with the approval of the US to whom they feed the information they get, in particular from the areas governed by the Kurds and populated by Sunnis," said Mojtahedzadeh, adding that such "erroneous, biased information" caused America's mistakes and was one of the main reason behind Middle Eastern hatred for America.

"The Americans must leave Iraq quickly because they are trapped in a quagmire and can neither advance or retreat," said the cleric, who accused the US of sparking sectarian conflict between Sunnis and Shiites. "Everyone should know that the United States is the main enemy of Islam. The Americans want neither Shiites or Sunnis. They continue their satanic policy to stay in the region."

1. This guy blames Israel
like the Republicans blame Clinton! That being said I agree we should leave, but we were there to steal the oil, not for Satanic purposes, actually.

2. Iran will calm down the situation in Iraq in a matter of weeks
Their troops will actually provide order in Iraq and will act with all possible force to provide that order for the Iraqi government.
