Clyburn to endorse Gephardt

COLUMBIA, S.C. - U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn was set to endorse Democratic presidential candidate and fellow House member Dick Gephardt on Wednesday, Clyburn's spokeswoman Hope Derrick said.

As the state's top black elected official, Clyburn is expected to help galvanize black voters, who could make up as much as half of the electorate in South Carolina's Feb. 3 primary.

3. Gee, didn't 8 candidates last night get all pissy about endorsements
About how this was a campaign, not a coronation. Remember you can't endorse people--especially if it will garner your opponent a lot of media coverage.

Clyburn's endorsement is then apparently ok.
