Three Indicted in R.I. Nightclub Fire

WARWICK, R.I. - The owners of the nightclub where 100 people were killed in a fire last February were indicted on involuntary manslaughter charges Tuesday along with the tour manager for the heavy metal band whose pyrotechnics ignited the blaze.

They barely qualify as hard rock--blues rock is closest to it. It's like calling the Jimi Hendrix Experience a grunge band because he's from Seattle.

This is exactly what I felt should happen. The club owners are criminally responsible because they had no business allowing pyro in a non-fireproof venue. The band is civilly liable because they should have made sure they had the proper permit and technician as Rhode Island law requires. And if memory serves me correctly, there exists a photo of the tour manager actually lighting the flashpots.
