Naval interdiction exercise said planned for Gulf (mystery deployments)

Naval interdiction exercise said planned for Gulf
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Facing nuclear disputes with
Iran and North Korea, the United States, Bahrain and other
states will hold their first naval exercise in the Gulf this
month to practice interdicting ships carrying weapons of mass
destruction and missiles, U.S. officials said Wednesday.
The exercise is taking place as the United States and other
major powers are considering sanctions including possible
interdiction of ships on North Korea, following a reported
nuclear test, and on Iran, which has defied a U.N. Security
Council mandate to stop enriching uranium.
The exercise, set for Oct. 31, is the 25th to be organized
under the U.S.-led 66-member Proliferation Security Initiative
and the first to be based in the Gulf near Bahrain, across from
Iran, the officials said.
A senior U.S. official insisted the exercise is not aimed
specifically at Iran, although it reinforces a U.S. strategy
aimed at strengthening America's ties with states in the Gulf,
where Tehran and Washington are competing for influence...

6. I would consider the source on that one...
I'm not familiar with the Hal Turner Show, so I checked out the website. I have to say, I'm embarassed I did so. That has to be one of the most vile, hateful, racist websites I've seen in quite some time. Sometimes, the enemy of our enemy is NOT our friend.

9. It's a show of force.
Perfectly acceptable international strategy.

Unfortunately, the demonstration has to be believed. Iran has to believe we can attack it and not breathe hard. That ain't gonna happen. We are stretched to the breaking point and everyone on the planet knows it.

10. "Vigilant Shield"
Anyone hear about this military exercise? It's currently scheduled for December & basically imagines a nuclear war w/North Korea, Iran, & Russia.

16. This exercise looks like...
"Operation Sunburst" that was conducted in central California in the mid 80's. I'm still, to this day, not sure just how we can manage to "simulate" and nuclear war.

The operation was conducted on Fort Hunter Liggett and Camp Roberts (where I worked) and the security of those bases during the exercise was like I had never seen. NO civilian who didn't have a specific strategic reason for being on post was allowed in, it was pretty scary at the time, because the operation was classified unless you were actually taking part in the exercises.

12. It's intended to provoke the Iranians
This is the same thing Reagan did to Gadhafi in 1981. Gadhafi claimed Libyan territorial waters extended 12 miles into the Gulf of Sidra. Reagan sent the Nimitz carrier group to conduct an exercise right in Libya's face, flying its planes right up to the standard 2-mile limit. Two Libyan Fitters finally flew out and one fired on our planes.

I will never forget that day. I worked for Task Force 67 at the time and had a chance to meet the two US pilots afterwards.

All I'm saying is don't be surprised if some "misunderstanding" arises during the exercise, opening the door to a full out air assault on Iran.

15. It seems to me...
that there is an incredible amount of precision guided hardware within striking distance of Iran for this deployment to be merely a "training exercise".

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't our tropps already spread pretty thin in the two conflicts we are already engaged in? This is looking to me like the fatal mistake Hitler made in attacking Russia in WWII.

Haven't I read "October surpise" all over this forum?

Well, attacking Iran would exactly be a surprise, but...

17. So NOW
The Fuhrer WANTS treaties with other countries. The fucking traitor-in-chief had sworn off other country involvment in things it considered in its own interest. But now, the puny little he-man woman haters club called bush-rove co. has to use the big 66 member (ohh how big!) organization to flex its puny little pee pee. Oh poor bushie pussy. Are you feeling all alone there in your self-proclaimed exile from the world? Poor girly-man, whats the matter, did Kim Il shove your sorry excuse for a foreign policy up your ass? You stupid piece of fucking shit.
Diplomacy is the ART of getting someone to give you something when they do NOT want to give you something.
Fucking assholes.
Go ask someone, where to go to figure out how to use the phone to call someone to find out where to go to buy a fucking clue, dimwits.
