BEIRUT, Sept 2 (KUNA) -- Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Al-Sanyoura said on Saturday that Lebanon would continue struggle for liberation of the occupied frontier Shebaa farms until the region is placed under umbrella of the United Nations.
Addressing legislators observing a strike in the parliament building to press for lifting Israel's air and sea siege of the country, the prime minister said the government works with unanimous support of the people and confidence of the parliament "and with every possible efforts not only for lifting the Israeli siege but also for speeding up the Israeli withdrawal from the national territories including the Shebaa farms." He indicated that the liberation of the farms had been included in a government seven-point plan, drafted during the recent Israeli war on the country.
The prime minister praised the Lebanese people for closing their ranks in the face of the Israeli aggression, the seventh to be launched by Tel Aviv against the country since 30 years ago.
He praised Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri's call upon the lawmakers to observe the strike in the parliament building to campaign against the Israeli siege.
