Car bomb kills seven in Iraqi town

A car bomb killed at least seven people in the Iraqi town of Muqdadiya, northeast of Baghdad on Tuesday, police said.


Police said eight people were also injured in the attack in front of the hospital in Muqdadiya, 90 km (50 miles) northeast of the capital.

Muqdadiya is part of Diyala province, one of the country's most violent areas.

Iraq bomb attacks kill 29 people

Two bomb attacks in Iraq have killed 29 people, most of them soldiers,
Iraqi police say.

A bomb planted by the roadside between the towns of Tikrit and Baiji killed
at least 19 soldiers and injured 13 as they passed by in a bus.

In central Baghdad's Karrada district, at least 10 people - soldiers and
civilians - were killed and 22 wounded in a suicide car bombing.
