BAGHDAD, July 31 (KUNA) -- Ali Elyasi, Al-Hurrah correspondent in Iraq and his crew were assaulted Monday by members of the Iraqi Security force, Al-Hurra channel reported.
The assault came after statements by the Iraqi interior Minister that some Policemen used their authority to abuse people. The Minister has vowed that these members will be brought to justice for their acts.
The correspondent who was covering the abduction of 25 people was harassed by a senior police officer. Elyasi and his crew receive some bruises due the police assault, added the channel.
