Bush to return to Ohio on Aug. 2

The president will be at a GOP fundraiser for gubernatorial candidate J. Kenneth Blackwell in Cleveland.

By William Hershey

COLUMBUS — President Bush is expected to return to Ohio on Aug. 2 to headline a fundraiser for Republican gubernatorial candidate J. Kenneth Blackwell, the Ohio secretary of state, at a private residence in the Cleveland suburb of Kirtland Hills.

According to a copy of an invitation to the event, tickets are $1,000 a person or $1,500 a couple for the general reception. The price for a photo opportunity with the president is $10,000, according to the invitation.

The White House and the Blackwell campaign declined to comment on the event.

1. Where do I sign up for the protest?
There is some jerk in Kirtland Hills who is a Repug with a LOT of money. * was always going over there in 2004 so that his little friends the haves and the have-mores could raise more money to steal, er, win the election.

...a guy in a suit holding $10,000 in cash... It could be made out of plywood, you know, like the ones at the carnivals with the face cut out... you can have people come up and get their photo taken w/Bush!!! for free!!! now only if there was a legit media source that would cover such a thing and show it to the Ohioans on the tube...

3. In Cleveland, huh?
Bush To Cleveland: ‘Anybody Work Here In This Town?’
After getting frustrated at the length of the Q&A session of his speech in Cleveland today, Bush blurted out, “Anybody work here in this town?”

Bush inadvertantly hit upon a subject he otherwise ignored - unemployment in Cleveland. Economic conditions in the city have worsened considerably during Bush’s presidency. Some facts:

- 5.8 percent: Cleveland unemployment rate, Jan. 2006
- 4.5 percent: Cleveland unemployment rate, Jan. 2001

- 5.3 percent: Ohio unemployment rate, Jan. 2006
- 4.0 percent: Ohio unemployment rate, Jan. 2001

- 31.3 percent: Cleveland poverty rate, 2003
- 24.3 percent: Cleveland poverty rate, 2001

So the answer, Mr. President, is that a lot of people in Cleveland don’t work because they can’t find jobs.

5. The GOP
has completely consumed Ohio. Blackwell will make it for Governor.
Bush owes him big time. Ohio is a sad state totally run over
by corruption.

8. I Am Confident That A Majority of Ohioans Will Try to Vote for Strickland
I have no confidence at all in the tabulation of the votes in Ohio.

In 2004, he delivered the electoral votes of Ohio to the pResident.
In 2005, he turned a landslide for US into a landslide for THEM.

This Fall, he intends to make himself Ohio's governor, and fabricate
a Republican "sweep" of Ohio.

15. They Flipped over 30% of the Statewide Vote Last November
The Mighty Sludge Machine explained it away.
Most people accepted it.

What makes you think this Fall will be any different?

17. And don't forget that the Dem precincts will have very few machines
Anyone wishing to vote in Cleveland, for exampl, will have to wait 4-5 hours to do so.

Ohio is where the next US Civil War will break out.

13. I want to be optimistic
but it's very hard to do. How many votes will go again uncounted. Voters turned away and Diebold to mention a huge
culprit.

11. *is using Blackwell
just like he used Harris. When he has no need for his services any longer Blackwell will be discarded too. It is not that the Ohioians will vote for Blackwell, but when the vote is manipulated then we need to fight back.
