Pa. House votes for gay marriage ban

The Pennsylvania Legislature has taken its first step toward an outright ban on same-sex marriage.

The state House of Representatives last night passed an amendment to the state constitution that is intended to bolster an existing statutory ban on same-sex marriages.

The proposed amendment to Pennsylvania's constitution would define marriage as a union between a man and a woman. It also would prohibit state, local and county governments from legally recognizing the unions of unmarried same-sex or heterosexual couples.

In Pennsylvania, the ban has a long way to go before being adopted: Constitutional amendments must pass the General Assembly in each of two successive two-year sessions and then win voter approval in a statewide referendum.

6. Praise Jesus for the GOP!

Like the old V-8 vegetable drink commercial where the guy hits himself on the head and says "I could have had a V-8" Now all these married people are hitting their head and saying "Wow, I could have had a same sex spouse - why did I marry someone of the opposite sex and stay married so long?"

Praise Jesus for the GOP saving us from this potential "9/11 type disaster", with their trusty new laws and consitutional amendments, once again the GOP will save America dark side . Oh the horror of it all !!! Think about it - at every wedding the evil doers will speak out when they are instructed to speak up now or forever hold your peace "Wait you can marry the same sex!" they will say and the bride and groom will run off in different directions... Praise Jesus for the GOP! they will save us all from becoming gay...
