US hawk shoots down Iran talks plan
US hawk shoots down Iran talks plan

Fri, 02 Jun 2006
Iran appears determined to make nuclear weapons and could develop such an arsenal as early as 2010, US National Intelligence Director John Negroponte said in an interview broadcast on Friday.

As six world powers agreed on a breakthrough package of benefits if Tehran suspends its nuclear fuel work, which has raised fears of weapons development, Negroponte warned the country remained the main state sponsor of terrorism.

"They seem to be determined to develop nuclear weapons," he told BBC radio.

"We don't have a clear-cut knowledge but the estimate we have made is some time between the beginning of the next decade and the middle of the next decade they might be in a position to have a nuclear weapon, which is a cause of great concern," the US spy chief said.

2. They're determined to have their perpetual war...
...and the facts be damned. Nosferponte salivates at such chaos - war consolidates their power and enriches them all.

And, the idiot corporate media just stands and stares blankly at Aruba.

3. Well. THAT took less than one day, didn't it?
Thursday, pretend that you're making a genuine overture, Friday shoot it down. What I don't get is: How did they get the rest of Europe to join in their dopey photo-op for yesterday's news show?

(p.s. Negroponte is every bit as evil as Satan Cheney)

7. Of course he sold arms to Iran. You can't have a war if they aren't armed!
This is their game. Arm them and then go to war with them later, rinse, repeat. It's how they make their $$$ and how OUR economy runs.

13. They sold arms to both Iran and Iraq (at the same time).
If you don't think people in the Middle East don't remember this and understand its implications, then you sadly underestimate the region and its people. They have very long memories and their historical consciousness is far more well-developed than the average American's.

6. Speaking of US Hawks, never forget that traitor Ollie North, Republican,
made sure that Iran got our Hawk anti-aircraft missiles during the sleazy, traitorous, drug besotted Iran-Contra scandal.

North can pat himself on his lying, traitorous back if those missiles (old technology, but still lethal) are ever used against our American sons and daughters.

15. It's like the social security scare. No time to wait & act rationally,
we need to do something TODAY.

It's all bullshit to distract everybody from the real problems in Iraq that we face right now, and to justify our conquest of Iraq buy making the whole region look like a potential atomic powder keg.
