would like to take this chance to thank member states of the D-8 for committing themselves to defend the peaceful use and the development of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, which has been enshrined in the Bali declaration,' he said.

The Bali declaration agreed members should cooperate to develop alternative energy sources, including the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

1. There's been talk the US will boycott the G8 coming up in St. Petersburg
...as an Administration "slap in the face" to Putin.

These madmen at 1600 Penn. Ave. have got to go...or we're going down with the blighters.

2. If the U.S. boycotts the summit, it will play right into Putin's hands
Putin will use the opportunity to further expand on his plan to sell Russian oil in their own currency and not the dollar, and the U.S. won't be around to counter-argue the proposal.

You think the U.S. dollar is collapsing now, just wait.

3. Note that the vote included two of the US's most important Muslim allies:
Turkey and Egypt. For them to so forcefully stand up to the US is an important rift, perhaps even bigger than Turkey's refusal to alow the US to use Turkey as a staging area for Gulf war ll.

4. USA ignores the Red Cross, the ICC, the UN, the WTO, etc., etc. . . .
.
.
.

USA is telling the World it sees itself as "Above the Law"

And the World will not accept that

I'll repeat what I have said many times before

History repeats itself for those that do not learn from it . . .

Think about "The Rise and FALL of the ______________ Empire"

USA

You are next!!

But I fear you will kill tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions before you are done your evil quest

And leave our planet in a crippled state environmentally

(sigh)

Remember: Blivet didn't win those two elections.

And an awful lot of us are working to peel his fingers off the grip of the nation.

I share your concerns. Not to mention the shame this administration brings down upon our country.

6. "the shame this administration brings down upon our country"
.
.
.

Don't forget HATRED!

The Afghanistan population, think about what we would call the "simple" people were asking each other "WHY ARE THEY BOMBING US??"

And the answer would be what???

The USA was trying to kill ONE MAN? Osama Bin Laden?

Iraqis were wondering the same thing in that Shock and Awe farce - WHY ARE THEY BOMBING US?

Neither country was at war with anyone

No-one asked for their "help" or their feigned "democracy"

The United States of America is the number one "rogue nation" IMO

But I's just a Canuk

Whadda I know . . .
