Jordan plot suspects say they trained in Syria
Two Hamas activists arrested in Jordan last month in connection with an alleged plot to stage attacks in the country said in televised confessions on Thursday that they had received military training in Syria.

The suspects said they were recruited by operatives from the Palestinian militant group's Damascus-based leadership.

"I stayed in Syria and began the security training which included interrogation methods and several subjects in addition to a military course and returned back to Jordan," Ayman Daraghmeh, 34, said.

Officials said on Wednesday that Hamas had tried to recruit activists for military training in Syria and Iran to stage possible attacks in Jordan and said it had found new weapons that included Iranian rocket launchers.

1. It is miraculous what you can get people to say
after 30 days of torture.

Shall we go to war with Syria now?

2. I was thinking money or blackmail, but torture could work too.
Maybe we can have some show trials soon.

3. Absolutely right, there is no way Syria would do anything like this.
They have never been involved in anything in the past, after all.

4. Assuming you are being sarcastic about Syria ....
So you think these fellows "confessions" are driven by some sort of sudden conversion to the way of light and truth? All that terrorist indoctrination just sloughed off once they were taken into custody, and they are overcome by the urge to shit on all of their past benefactors? I find that theory less likely than that they are reading what they have been told to read under some form of external pressure.
