Purchase by someone on terror watch list would alert police

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Democratic Sen. Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey introduced legislation Tuesday that would require the Justice Department to tell law enforcement officials when someone on a terrorism watch list buys a gun.

Old Lautenberg has got the Repukies over a barrel. Either they alienate the gun-nuts by voting against crazy people getting guns, or they alienate 90% of the US population by not restricting terrorist access to guns.

So...though a great bill.......I wonder about that WATCH LIST. And it makes me run cold.

BTW, where the HELL is Tom Ridge these days? Haven't seen hide nor hair of the guy in months....... Isn't he in charge of protecting us all?
