3. Where will the cannon fodder come from?
We'd have to ramp up a draft for we don't have the numbers in the Military to occupy both Iraq and Iran at the same time. Not by a long ... long shot. :(

7. How can we confirm this is credible?
Blog posts are LBN now?

I did a search on the title "Turkey won't let U.S. attack Iran from its land"

Yahoo has 6 hits....

One of the hits is informationclearinghouse, a site that is suspect at best...

8. Is the source YNetNews out of Isreal a decent one? At least Turkey said NO
No offense but when I'm not familiar with a source I figure it's better to ask those that might know more about it then I. :) http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3245382,00.html

Report: Turkey won’t let U.S. attack Iran from its land

Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said Sunday that his country refused a request from the United States to attack Iran from its Air Force base in Incirlik, despite the U.S. offer of a nuclear reactor, according to a report in Al Biyan.

In an interview for the United Arab Emirates newspaper, Gul noted that America’s efforts to attack Iran are “imaginary” and that Turkey’s stance is “strategic” and refuses the use of its land for any belligerent activity against neighboring countries. (Roee Nahmias)

I agree writing our Congressional reps to is a good idea and will write mine again asking them to back DeFazio's bill.. probably to no avail but sometimes McHugh surprises me and this is an election year where he'll have an opponent. :D

9. if you live in illinois or california, please ask
that your representative help your local legislators in bringing the state level impeachment resolutions to fruition. imho, the looming threat to iran is the number one reason to push any and all impeachment resolutions. but the ones in ill. and ca. have the full weight of the law.

10. Not so "SECRET" anymore, is it?
Someone in the bush misadministration needs to look up the word "diplomacy" in the dictionary, cos they're getting reamed, in ways that Jeff Gannon's clients can only imagine longingly. Come to think of it, maybe that's part of the problem right there.

Turkey won't allow US to use its bases
<http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?c=JPArticle&cid=1145961254015&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull>

QUOTE:

Turkey does not intend to allow the United States to launch an attack against Iran from the Inchirlik military base, Turkish news agencies reported Sunday.

Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul told the Dubai-based al-Bayan that he doubted the US would ultimately choose to take military action, as "Iran has its own strategic advantages."

Gul said that facilitating an attack against a neighboring country was "not an option," despite the US offer to build Turkey a nuclear reactor as a counterbalance to Iran's expanding nuclear facilities.

14. NO NOT a DUPE -- good find MLD
Good show MLD

And no, the DU link is not a "dupe" of the blog posting. On the original post page, there are action links to Congressmen and a bill specifically preventing Bush declaring war without Congressional authorization.

19. Beware the False Flag Operation.
False flag operations are covert operations conducted by governments, corporations, or other organizations, which are designed to appear as if they are being carried out by other entities. The name is derived from the military concept of flying false colors; that is, flying the flag of a country other than your own. Terrorist attacks may sometimes be in fact false flag operations, as in the Italian strategy of tension in which several bombings, attributed to far-left organizations, were in fact carried on by far-right organizations cooperating with the Italian secret services.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_flag

Now Turkey is set up. If they are attacked, whom will they turn to? Who might attack Turkey to get them on their knees to the USA? There are so many possibilities now for a false flag operation that it boggles the mind. The PNAC bastards would run a false flag in a pair of seconds. Verb-fucking-sap.
