President's rating drops to 24 percent
April 25, 2006

HARTFORD, Conn. --A Hartford Courant/Connecticut poll shows that President Bush's job approval rating has dropped to 24 percent among Connecticut residents.

The poll, released Tuesday, found that there were a number of issues that affected Bush's approval including the continuing war in Iraq, the cleanup from Hurricane Katrina, demands for tougher border enforcement and skyrocketing energy prices.

"Those events cast doubt on the president's ability to govern," Samuel Best, director of the University of Connecticut's Center for Survey Research and Analysis, said Monday.

Twenty-eight percent of Connecticut residents named Iraq the nation's most important problem, with job creation and economic growth a distant second.

14. I won't be happy 'til it's at 1%.
The 1% that really wants this man to stay so they can continue to steal mountains of money from the American people. The rich elite are the only scum that should be supporting him.

5. Yet Joe Lieberman continues to support his foregin policy
I'll cut someone like Ben Nelson a little slack from time to time, coming from Deep Red Nebraska as he does. Sometimes he just has to be allowed to not vote the party line to save his job. But in Connecticut such deference is inexcusable.

with the big yellow smiley face, where he keeps knocking down the price, lower and lower.

Only in Bush's case, it's the approval rating.

17. what is wrong with 24 percent of the population?
That reminds me of a guest on Al Franken who said that of the % of generals who believed that Rumsfield was doing a good job, a majority of them had dementia.

18. His support has collapsed in southwestern CT and the...
eastern part of the state. Shays and Simmons are extremely vunerable if this trends hold. There could be double digit wins for the Dems in the congressional races.

22. 24% approval in CT and 55% approval in Utah. Well I guess the
population in CT is more highly educated than the polygamists from Utah.
