VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- On their second day of deliberations, jurors in Virginia have convicted sniper suspect John Muhammad on all four counts in his capital murder trial.
He was convicted of two counts of capital murder, along with conspiracy and using a firearm to commit a felony.
The verdict comes after three weeks of graphic testimony. A series of victims and other witnesses, some of them in tears, recalled the deadly sniper rampage in the Washington area.
Muhammad was convicted on two counts of capital murder in Meyers' death, using a firearm while committing a felony and conspiracy. The second capital murder count was the result of a post-9-11terror law that alleged the killing was designed to terrorize the Washington, D.C. region. Muhammad is the first person tried under the terrorism law.
