Dynegy figure asks for release on bond
Former Dynegy employee awaits resentencing

Attorneys for former Dynegy employee Jamie Olis argued before an appeals court Thursday for his release on bond while he awaits resentencing.

Olis has served two years of a 24-year sentence for his role in Project Alpha, a transaction that helped Dynegy inflate its reported cash flow by as much as $300 million.

The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the sentence in late 2005 and ordered a new sentence.

That was originally set to happen in January, when two former Dynegy employees who entered guilty pleas in the case were sentenced.

1. Yeah, he should be released...
after about another 22 years. Then I'll be fine with it.
