Gov. Bush Says Harris Campaign Struggling (twisting the knife)
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Republican Gov. Jeb Bush on Thursday complained that Katherine Harris has made the Senate campaign about herself instead of the record of the Democratic incumbent.

"I am the party leader. I've got concerns," the governor said in response to a reporter's question. "The campaign can't be about her. It has to be about Bill Nelson and the future of our state and so far, she asked my advice and I gave her that exact advice and it's gotten worse since."

The woman best known for certifying George W. Bush's 537-vote win in Florida in the disputed 2000 presidential election has struggled in her bid to unseat Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson (news, bio, voting record). Republican leaders showed scant enthusiasm for her Senate run after two terms in the House, and her top adviser, campaign manager and communications director recently resigned.

Harris, Florida's former secretary of state, also has had difficulty raising money. She pledged to spend $10 million of her own money to continue in a contest that polls show her trailing badly.

I gotta agree; if I were Katherine Harris, I wouldn't want to make it about me...

7. Yep. Ol Jeb just realized he is almost outta a job.
He wants to push himself into that nice position you want for yourself! Show him that a woman's place is in the house and the Senate! Harris, never give up to the boys who sent you out to fetch the coffee and backup alternative vote counts.

3. F you, Jeb. You and your family are criminals.
You and your family have broken laws, lied, cheated, stolen, and screwed the American people for years. All under the guise of being upstanding, moral, conservative Christians.

F YOU! You are a piece of stinkin' shit!

Let the stupid bitch spend her money if she wants to. Just like a common street whore, she's serviced your needs and now you don't need her. Eventually you and your nasty evil family will be held accountable for your actions.

Go F yourself.

Geez, these people are disgusting!

about the 2000 election, they are going to make sure she has been certified nuts so no one will believe her. Looks like a comprehensive project is underway.

27. He still has until May
to qualify.

I'm sure by then he will have no other choice but to nominate himself since he claims to be the party leader down here.

10. And you know she's read this by now.
Let's take a look into Harris's thoughts right now:

a) anger. I'm not just angry, but I've got tornado-sized, hell-scorching fury, radiating outwards at the perpetrators.

b) The perpetrators. Who are they? How many in my campaign staff are turncoats? Are they all traitors? Damn, I might need to spy on them. That's it! Hire detectives for my prime suspects. Put them through a lie detector test to see who are loyal to Jeb.

c) change the locks. Do it again tonight. Damn those cockroaches. I give them one set of keys, and they make copies for their friends. I don't know who to trust anymore.

d) Checkbook. Time to whip out the old checkbook. They're cutting me off at the pass, but not to worry. I've got lots of dough....I can still win this thing.

...to be continued.

13. What a crappy way to back stab an ex-GF. Maybe his wife made 'im do it.
As much as Jeb is the "smart Bush", I've always thought he looked a little henpecked, perhaps a little jealous of the easy access and victories won by his moronic older brother. I'm seeing a real "Malcom in the Middle" dynamic in his family.

then maybe we could nickname her "Chatty Kathy" like the doll in the sixties. Although I think the doll's name was spelled with a "C" and she was much prettier than Katherine Harris. The doll had more personality too. ;)

15. About the $10 million -
it was interesting to hear her say to Sean Hannity while being interviewed that she would use her $10 million legacy left to her by her father. Then a few minutes later she qualified that by saying it would be spent in the last weeks of her campaign.Reason being that it cost about $2.5 million/week for complete advertising coverage in Florida. Her real reason for leaving the spending of her own money until the very end is she'd still have it safe in the bank in case she had to drop out.It would seem that was good thinking.

Harris is toast. Her political career is basically over and if she plays ball she might get to be appointed as Ambassador to Micronesia or to the "Election Assistance Commission". :puke:

25. mmmmmm....
wonder what kind of backdoor politicing is going on?

Did Harris tic someone off? and if so - who?

Why are GOPers against her running for Senate? She was their sweetheart in fixing Florida's votes in 2000....

she's 'toast'.... and if so -- is she the type to "spill the beans" her attempt at Senate is over?

28. Maybe we should organize an intervention for poor Ms Harris
Since the Repugs have turned against her, I'm sure she could use some 'friends' right now. Of course, once we win her trust, we have to force her to come clean about the 2000 election, in order to save her soul from further damnation.
