911 tapes from Sept. 11 stirring pain already...

There are 24 voices to which names have been put on 911 tapes from Sept. 11, 2001, that the city is to release later this week. Marilyn Reich just wishes the voice of her husband was among them.

But it's not.

"I'd sell my soul right now to be able to hear my husband's voice," said Reich, 57, of Forest Hills, whose husband, Howard, 59, was a clerk in the south tower.

She spoke to him, so briefly, on that terrible morning. Minutes after American Airlines Flight 11 struck the north tower, he called and said he thought a bomb had gone off in the other building. His voice was calm, she remembered Monday, her voice wavering.<snip>

The rescue voices will be heard....unless the families agree to the release of the voices of thier loved ones. One family has done that already according to NPR.
