2. AP: Blast Reported at French Chemistry School
PARIS - A large explosion rocked a chemistry school in eastern France on Friday, police said. Fire services said there were casualties.

Police said the blast occurred at a chemistry school at Mulhouse, near the border with Germany, but said they had no other immediate details. Fire services reported casualties but gave no other immediate information.

The surrounding area was evacuated.

6. it was a Chemistry building at UW-Madison during the Viet nam that got
blown up also. Just an observation.

A female professor has been killed, and a number of people have been wounded, in an explosion at a college in France.

As many as 20 people were missing in the aftermath of the blast in the chemistry college of the Haute-Alsace University, in the city of Mulhouse, however they have since been accounted for.

Students were in class at the three-level ENSCMu institute of chemistry unit when the explosion rocked the building shortly after midday. Around 150 people were in the building at the time, and were immediately evacuated. The building normally houses 650 students and teaching staff, however a large number of students were taking part in nationwide protests against youth jobs law
