Chavez grants fuel deal to El Salvador
The government of Venezuela has signed a deal with a group of mayors from El Salvador, agreeing to sell fuel under preferential terms to parts of the Central American country.

The oil deal was signed between the Venezuelan state oil firm subsidiary PDV Caribe and the Intermunicipal Energy Association for El Salvador, which officials said was formed by mayors of the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front party, or FMLN.

Details of the amount of fuel to be sold were not immediately available.

But Salvadoran officials from FMLN said they hoped to receive about 79,500 litres a month of diesel and gasoline under Venezuela's Petrocaribe initiative, which sells oil directly to Caribbean countries with generous financing.

1. There he goes again, helping people
How can the Chavez haters spew their anti-Chavez
venom when he consistently refuses to behave the way they want him to???
All this concern for the welfare of his country,
all of this generosity offered to countries in need simply will not do!
(And his informed/compassionate positions on world issues better stop
too!)

Viva Chavez!
:)

2. Among the many beautiful things about the leftist revolution that has
swept Latin America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Venezuela, and Bolivia, and soon Peru and Mexico) are the new regional economic, political and security alliances that are being formed to implement Latin American self-determination and independence from US/IMF/World Bank/WTO domination.

The times they are a-changin'!

A good info site on this huge and historic--and peaceful and democratic--revolution: www.venezuelanalysis.com.

One of the keys to this revolution has been TRANSPARENT elections. U.S., take note! Transparent elections = good government, of, by and for the people. Non-transparent elections = the Bush junta.

As Evo Morales, the new indigenous Indian presient of Bolivia (a first!) has said: "The time of the people has come."
