The situation is getting worse folks. Matsui from CA said the police were called before the meeting began. Now Lewis from GA is "preaching" and drawing a comparison between the abuses suffered while peacefully marching or protesting for civil rights and the abuse suffered TODAY while peacefully conducting the business of congress in the library.

Kleckza from WI is railing about the ridiculousness of a 40 y/o GOPer pretending to feel physically threatened by a 70 y/o Democratic member. If I'm not mistaken, the 70 y/o is Stark (don't ask me what state). Kenny Hulshof (MI) is now impugning the Democrats' intelligence.

The sides are drawn along partisan lines, naturally. This is too bizarre!

21. Bob Menendez D-NJ is now speaking...

Officer Spriggs said he was instructed to CLEAR THE ROOM by a GOPer. NOT the room that Stark was in where he allegedly threatened a GOPer, but another room altogether.

The Repugs are spinning like crazy and repeating over and over that if they had been in the same situation they would have called the seargent-at-arms to restore order. None of them acknowledge that: 1) the Capitol Police were called PRIOR to the meeting and well before the alleged threat, 2)Officer Spriggs confirmed when they were called, and 3)when the police did come, they didn't go to the room Stark was in and where he allegedly issued the threat and where the GOPers were claiming was unacceptable disruption of proceedings, they were SENT to the Library where a group of Democrats were meeting and had no knowledge of the brouhaha taking place.

Is this the quick descent into fascism, or am I mistaken?
