Tillman's father not expecting answers
http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/03/06/tillman/index.html

SAN JOSE, California (CNN) -- The father of former NFL player Cpl. Pat Tillman said Monday he doesn't believe the full truth about his son's death in Afghanistan will ever emerge, despite a new investigation.

Tillman, who left the Arizona Cardinals for the Army after the 2001 al Qaeda attacks on New York and Washington, was killed by friendly fire in April 2004.

The Army, which originally reported that he died during a Taliban ambush, has now launched a criminal investigation to determine whether the death was the result of negligent homicide.

Pat Tillman Sr., a San Jose attorney, would not speak with CNN on camera. But he expressed frustration at the handling of his son's death so far and was pessimistic about the chances that the latest investigation would reveal anything new.

1. End results are predictable
The blame will be laid on Tillman and he will be smeared as an inferior soldier.
The Tillman family will be demonized and run out of the country.

2. Instead of going after the soldiers who accidentally killed Tillman
why not go after the Pentagon bigwigs who fabricated his "heroic" story and have been lying and covering up ever since.

3. I think that perhaps Senior Tillman would like to find out in
this investigations is if his son was sacrificed because of his renown status as a football star.

Why did the Pentagon make up the heroic story in the first place? Don't we all know the answer to that question?

5. That scenario is hard to believe

not impossible I guess but friendly fire deaths happen all the time in the confusion of war. There was some info about his uniform and body armour being burned by tropps in Afghanistan - pretty weird.

No question that that BushCo tried to exploit his death.

6. Isn't that why we're trying to find the truth of the matter?

4. I don't either
and I speak as someone who knows the "final" report of several army investigations - and truth and justice - just wasn't a part of them.

Once a Hero is dead, the chickenhawks and CINC (Coward in Charge) can ascribe any viewpoint to him that they wish!

Here's the Crooks and Liars Ann Skelecoulter comments, where she "can't believe" an manly man like Pat Tillman could be against the War!

I'm glad I haven't run into her, she would no doubt love to destroy me since I'm a coward who served in Afghanistan and Iraq!
