Iraqis say Saddam could exploit Abu Ghraib images
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060216/ts_nm/iraq_abuse_dcIraqis said Saddam was likely use the images to condemn the court as an illegal creation of occupying U.S. forces.
Reaction in the heartland of his once-dominant Arab Sunni minority was predictable. He is seen there as a hero overthrown in a plot to impose U.S. domination in the name of human rights.
"His rule is now being tried by American agents with Iraqi faces while they try to keep what is taking place at Abu Ghraib secret," said Abdul Sadoun, an engineer in the former rebel stronghold of Falluja.
"This is evidence that Saddam was ruling the country with justice. We did not see any Iraqi being tortured in his time."
