Queen honours Britain's war dead at Remembrance ceremony
LONDON (AP) - The Queen Elizabeth was joined by several other members of the Royal Family and Prime Minister Tony Blair on Saturday at an event to pay tribute to Britain's service men and women.

The annual Festival of Remembrance at London's Royal Albert Hall features a procession of military bands, choirs and musical ensembles.

During the traditional Laying of the Drums segment, several drums were placed on top of each other to form an altar to honour Britain's war dead. A religious service was also held, including hymns and prayers.

The festival paid special tribute to troops still stationed in Iraq. Footage of the British troops in Basra, both in action and in rest, was shown as friends and relatives crossed the concert hall floor. Soldiers stationed in Basra were able to listen to the event via the British Forces Broadcasting Service.

1. Best To Get It Done Before Dimbo Arrives
Wouldn't want the dead turning over in their graves.

2. Wouldn't want to disturb the little emperor
With thoughts of deaths, especially those of men he ordered to go over there.

He might get stressed out, and accidentally get in front of a camera with his 'binkie' in his mouth and his 'blankie' in his hand, like Linus Van Pelt, and then where would all that 'honor and dignitude' he restored to his glorious office go then, huh?

6. The odds on a successful state visit ACTUALLY occuring
are rapidly diminishing at the rate of knots.

Poodle's game of bluff thinks that Labour's involvement in Enron will not be outed and he's made damned sure that gagging orders applying to anything connecting him or his gargoyle wife to money laundering, corruption and his extensive links to the Bushes - going back over 40 years - stay gagged.

He has wildly over-exaggerated the strength of his hand. Those who actually hold all the winning cards are wryly biding their time. It's called 'The Special Relationship'....

8. I guess the Republicans are planning a big ceremony now that
everyone has criticized the administration for virtually ignoring our dead soldiers and the returning wounded. I wonder how Hannity is spinning this? It guess ignoring our dead and dying is sort of un-Clinton so it's what the RWing would applaud.
