TVNewser: Bill O'Reilly Delivers Warning To (NBC president) Bob Wright

Bill O'Reilly Delivers Warning To Bob Wright

Bill O'Reilly -- excuse me, "Talking Points" -- is "troubled by the behavior of NBC, which cheap shots FOX News on a regular basis and has been doing so for some time," the FNC host said on Monday night.

(By NBC, he apparently means Dateline's Josh and MSNBC's Keith Olbermann.)

"It is only a few people doing this, but NBC President Robert Wright allows it to happen. Wright knows exactly what's going on, because he's been made aware of it." (He's been "made aware" of it?)

O'Reilly continued:...."There is no question the amazing success of FOX News has affected all TV news operations, but CNN, for example, usually competes with class, not bitterness. Likewise, we respect ABC and CBS for their work ethic and competitive zeal.

But there's something very wrong at NBC. And if it continues, 'Talking Points' will go into greater detail about the problems besetting that network. We hope Robert Wright will right the situation and believe he has the power to do it....

Make no mistake, Colbert is a smart, smart man. It may take a minute or two for the right-wingers to "get it", but he'll make sure they do. I don't think he'd even take the gig unless he was sure they'll feel every barb.

Can it really be that Colbert's schtick has gotten him past the screening that would have stopped Stewart? Can they really fail so utterly to "get it"?

75. His interviews with congressional reps are interesting in that respect
I do get the impression that their confusion and discomfort are genuine -- that they really expected someone to lob them the usual softball questions. And then Colbert pitches them knuckle balls, curves, and sliders.

Either they're too out of it to know that Colbert is a comedian, or they're playing along beautifully and should consider careers in Hollywood.

6. I am sure NBC is shaking in their boots.
Yeah right. Like who cares what Bill O'Smelly thinks. We only have a few people in the entire group of networks who we can actually listen to without throwing a brick at our televisions. Now that jackass thinks he is going to take that away. NBC should put on more shows like Countdown. There are more people in this country who can relate to him as compared to BO. The ratings at networks other than FAUX would go sky high if they would just bring it a little left of center which is where most of us are.

20. douchebag

The terms douchebag, d-bag, douche nozzle, blagadouche, and douche for short are also popular derogatory terms of insult or ridicule in North America. Such a person can also be said to be guilty of douchebaggery, or could also be described as being douchey. These terms can mean a variety of different insults, and have become popular in the comedic media:

* Someone who is annoying, bossy or embarrassing.
* Someone who is stupid, intellectually challenged or mentally deranged but less than clinically insane.
* Someone who is unintelligently lying or scamming.
* Someone who is arrogant, elitist or snobby.
* Someone whom you don't like.
* Someone who is socially inept.

The word douchebag was used in a skit for Saturday Night Live in 1980.

The practice of douching is now largely restricted to North America, where douching equipment is often available in pharmacies.

So go ahead, Bill. Keep threatening the Peacock. They might go medieval on your punk ass.

24. O'Reilly might be interested to know that
SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS has MORE people watching and Higher ratings than Loofa Boy..

If you sit down and look at the cable numbers for all of these news orgs you'd be surprised - I'm fairly certain that while O'Reilly is sitting there babbling like the insane idiot that he is, that there are Literally MORE people trimming their toenails in the evening Nationwide than are watching both Him AND Scarborough..

Soon he'll be juggling kittens to get attention, poor little mean retard.. one of these days I'm going to do an animation of him, always wanted to show that screwy ass eyeball he has that seems to wander about his face while he's trying to look all Dignified and Important.. I could have the eye wander behind his head, down his arm, etc the whole time he's filling our minds with precious information that we can't get anywhere else, except for maybe a raving barhound who LOVES Bush and dutifully promotes Bush/Cheney with a bumpersticker attached to a 1969 Shitbox Toyota truck - his eyes all shiny at the potential of anyone who "stays the course" with the Republicans getting WEALTHY, just keep repeating the magic words of the right wingers and you'll get LOTS of money and Power..

Sick of idiots. Ready to start IGNORING these assholes on a major scale, which is what the left needs to do, let O'Reilly interview all the OTHER BORING right wingers until even the dumb people get bored..

Goddam pervert.

40. Well, the sun I can understand
it's beautiful and gives LIFE, warmth, etc..

I think what we're both saying is that what people are watching is more like a train or auto wreck :)

It may be time for a "turn your backs on Right Wingers" movement, "Turn OFF, Tune OUT, Turn around.." and we can demand the same from the Democrats and Progressives..

STOP going on those programs or WE will vote your ass OUT of office.

I wish people would take my simple little mindgame I've invented more seriously, I came up with a basic solution to both the left and right pigs that we want OUT of office which will invoke a deeply conditioned response.

All you have to do is to write or email, call, etc ANY OFFICE, right or Left and say these words:

"IF YOU vote for this bill, IF you take this measure, IF you DON'T VOTE for THIS BILL, *I* and all of my friends and family will 'VOTE FOR THE OTHER GUY'"..

It's a mindf*ck and it would work. Let THEM worry about WHO the Other GUY IS, make THEM SWEAT. It really doesn't matter WHO THEY think the OTHER GUY IS, just that you repeat that sentence every time and to ALL POLITICIANS..

If ANY Politician gets word that groups are going to vote for SOMEONE ELSE, ie the "other guy" (another Dem? a republican? an Independent? - doesn't matter, and that's the beauty of it, could be LOTS of "other guys" in their mind), THEN they will get scared.

Nothing worse than a nondescript threat to a politician's future as a politician.

O’REILLY: I have guys inside the five major oil companies - my father used to work for one of those oil companies by the way - who have told me that in those meetings they look for every way to jack up oil prices after Katrina, every way, when they didn’t have to. They got scared because of my reporting and reporting of some others. They said, “Uh ho.”

CAVUTO: So wait a minute, you’re not, you’re taking credit for gas prices being down from where they are?

O’REILLY: I said my reporting and some reporting of others. They got scared.

This was from, of course, Faux news.

61. This part surprised me ...
"CNN, for example, usually competes with class, not bitterness. Likewise, we respect ABC and CBS for their work ethic and competitive zeal."

Did this surprise anyone? Does he get any credit for giving these networks their due?

What do you make of it?

62. Well, He worked for ABC and CBS at one point in his career
So he isn't likely to diss them in toto. Besides his radio show is inderctly owned by Viacom, which owns CBS, so he probably wouldn't wan to diss them as a complete entity.

67. STFU vibrator-butt!
God what a joke, I wonder how many Fox interns O'Pervy has tried to sexually assault? NBC should call him Bill McCarthy and do an expose on Billy's career in the 'news field'.
