(Moonie Times) Paper: Abramoff didn't lobby Bush

Paper: Abramoff didn't lobby Bush

Lobbyist Jack Abramoff, who pleaded guilty to a series of U.S. charges, attended in at least six White House functions, The Washington Times reported.

The newspaper cited an unnamed source "familiar with the visits" as saying Abramoff's trips to the White House were generally social visits such as Hanukkah celebrations. The source said Abramoff didn't lobby President George Bush during those occasions although pictures of the participants, as is usual for a White House function, were taken.

The White House has refused to release the pictures because, spokesmen said, the Abramoff investigation continues and any photos would be used for political reasons. Several Republicans Sunday suggested the White House release information on Abramoff pictures and White House meetings.

Abramoff pleaded guilty to fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy to bribe public officials in a plea agreement. As part of the deal, Abramoff is aiding in a wider investigation into lobbying practices in Capitol Hill.

6. It may not be proveable (Thats a word). Rove only met him offsite
apparently.

If Abramoff says he lobbied him than it doesn't matter what the Moonie times says.

7. Of course HE didn't lobby Bush, he simply accompanied CLIENTS
who lobbied Bush. The same clients who paid a bundle to have one of Munkeeboy's transition team members procure the access at great expense, and ESCORT them to the WH....but hey, no lobbying by JACKIE, nooooooooooo!!! He just opened doors, and made introductions!!!!

Please--this makes the meaning of "is" look like a fucking doctoral dissertation! How stupid do they think people are?????

9. Hang on a minute...
if they were just "social visits" doesn't that mean that Abramoff is Bush's friend? Surely that's even worse.

Press secretary Scott McClellan said Abramoff might have attended large gatherings with Bush but added, “The President does not know him, nor does the President recall ever meeting him."

14. What's a good Christian like Smirk doing encouraging a false religion?
Hannukah?

What about Ramadan?

If, as the wingnuts say, the USA is a Christian nation founded by Christians for Christians, why would our good Christian president even pay lip service to religions whose members are certainly all going to hell? (Which most wingnuts will tell you is indisputable fact.)

How can Bush sell access to our holy White House to the hellbound?

Aren't hellbound unbelievers at LEAST as bad as fellatrixes?

16. Okay, that covers the six Hannukah visits
During which Abramoff apparently didn't have the bad taste to put the arm on his old pal Bushie. Odd that the Moonie Times would conclude, based on such thin evidence, that no lobbying or corruption went on the other 358 days of the year.

17. He wouldn't lobby Bush anyway. He lobby's Bush's inner circle
who get him what he wanted. It would be useless to ask Bush for something in particular when he has no idea about the specifics of most things.

22. what's the name of Rove's secretary who was Abramoff's secretary?
the one who set up all the cushy trips and skybox seats, and who works for Rove and made some crazy claims to Fitz about Matt Cooper's calls not being in the phone logs? Who was next to Rove on election night as he ran the numbers on his computer? Who was photographed with Bush, etc etc?
