GOP group wants death count list removed (Doylestown PA)
ARTEMIS COUGHLAN, Associated Press

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. -- The death count of Iraq casualties posted in the front window of the Bucks County Democratic Committee irks a Republican group so much that they’ve asked for it to be removed.

The count is under a sign that reads "We Honor Our Fallen Heroes" and is updated every day, according to Democratic officials ...

The count yesterday stood at 2,224 of our military personnel who have been killed ...

"Perhaps some are more comfortable thinking of war only in generalities," said Neil Samuels, the deputy chairman of the <county Democratic> party ...

33. Entitled "War President"
An American anti-war activist, Joe Wezorek, has published a stark mosaic image of President George W Bush composed from photos of servicemen and women killed while serving with US-led coalition forces in Iraq.

Anti-war protest: Joe Wezorek's image of President Bush
The picture, called "War President," appears on Mr Wezorek's website, American Leftist.

2. How dare they honor the fallen that way
They should be using the puke method. Put them in cargo on commercial planes and when they get to the US, hide them away so no one sees their coffin. That's how you honor the fallen.

4. But the chairmen of the Bucks County Federation of Young Repugs ...
...... is asking? So in that case the answer would be, ahhh no.

BTW Shouldn't his young repug ass be in Iraq?

"Why do you need the number of deaths if you want to honor our troops," said Don Petrille, chairman of the Bucks County Federation of Young Republicans.

19. So, Mr. Petrille wants to hide the bodies? Why? Surely he doesn't
think the war is a crime, or anything, does he?

He does look like he could use a little basic training.

10. So he thinks you only honor breathing troops
what a putz! these people gave their lives for the Bush Regime, and we are just suppose to forget about their sacrifice. Maybe he should learn what the word honor means.

High respect, as that shown for special merit

A source or cause of credit

Glory or recognition; distinction.

A mark, token, or gesture of respect or distinction

Principled uprightness of character

A code of integrity, dignity, and pride, chiefly among men

Why do the repubs only want to exploit the military and the troops???

"Why do you need the number of deaths if you want to honor our troops," said Don Petrille, chairman of the Bucks County Federation of Young Republicans.

"We don’t know what using the death toll adds to the message of support to our troops. I’ve written Democratic Party Chairman John Cordisco asking that something be done, but I haven’t heard anything yet."

Again what a PUTZ!!! Slang. A fool; an idiot. Vulgar Slang. A penis.

30. That's my local Democratic party organization
Yep, they're worth licking stamps for. Especially their "Yoda" stamps. Yum.

The Republicans in Bucks County are going to be losing big this year. They have exactly ONE decent politician, and even she screwed the proverbial pooch by hiring her fiance. (DA Diane Gibbons).

Part of the reason is people like Don Petrille. There is a significant split in the local GOP. It's run by rad-right loons, but the local rank-and-file is primarily composed of moderates who were never all that happy with the "Jesus is a Republican" crap. Santorectum barely carried the party around here, let alone the voters.

The interesting thing is that the Bucks GOP has had about ten times the money as the Democratic Party, and they just seem to be hemorrhaging it. Garbage in, garbage out, I guess.

I know that's rankled me too, as if Americans were the only ones who lost their lives in this conflict. Good for them, standing up in a show of respect for the hundred thousand plus dead Iraqi men, women, and children! :eyes:
