22-year-old's body found near Conrad Black's Florida estate
Monday, January 16, 2006 Posted at 1:56 AM EST

Associated Press

Palm Beach, Fla. — A man's body was found near the beach entrance of embattled former media baron Conrad Black's Florida estate, though there were no signs of foul play, police said.

Authorities said the 22-year-old man appeared to have set up a camp near the property's access tunnel.

The body was found Friday by Mr. Black's property manager. Mr. Black, who is awaiting trial on charges of fraud and racketeering, lives in Toronto and was not at the mansion at the time, said his lawyer Ed Genson.

The mansion is on the market for $37-million(U.S.). Mr. Black posted the property as security for his $20-million court bond, meaning he would lose the mansion if he missed court appearances.

13. Yes and even more fun, Conrad Black is a good friend of Dick Perle
Why are there so many 'dicks' in this administration?

And there IS a cutie connected to this case. Prosecutie Patrick Fitzgerald is the prosecutor in the Conrad Black case. He is also investigating Richard Perle in relation to the same case.

But, these are not Democrats! They are rightwingers under indictment and so there won't even be a mention of it.

Otoh, if they were Dems under indictment? I shudder to think of the wall to wall coverage there would be. Actually even if they were NOT under indictment, I can only imagine.

5. Another dead homeless person...
and the ONLY reason we hear about it, is that the serf happened to die on the lands of a British Lord, who "is known to police".

9. Mansions in Palm Beach have
access tunnels to the beach or a beach house that they use for privacy and convenience. One of the perks of being rich. They don't even have to look before they cross the street.

12. There are no basements, but
the street they must cross to get to the beach is on the dune and is higher than the beach and, I think there only a few of those tunnels.

14. Yes, and the White House would have some degree of responsibility.....
...for that dead homeless person because it is the Government's responsibility to provide for the welfare of EVERY American citizen.

You might want to rethink your "comparison".
