Cuba Insists on Five Release
Havana, Dec 30 (Prensa Latina) Cuba´s Parliament Speaker Ricardo Alarcon reiterated the Island will not stop demanding the release of five Cubans unlawfully jailed in the US for fighting against terrorism.

During a ceremony at the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) on the occasion of its 45th anniversary, Alarcon stressed that one more year goes by and the Five remain imprisoned in separate penitentiaries while their rights, according to US and International Law, are been breached.

In his remarks, the legislative leader recalled that the five-member Special Group on Arbitrary Detentions of the UN Human Rights Commission declared their imprisonment is illegal, while a three-judge panel of the US Court of Appeals 11th Circuit in Atlanta reversed their conviction.

Still, they remain in the US high security gulag system. Their families have been refused visitation for years.
