Medical marijuana changes among new Jan. 1 laws
Holders of medical marijuana cards in Oregon now will be allowed to have up to 1 1/2 pounds of dried marijuana and six mature plants under a new state law that takes effect Jan. 1.

.......

One of the co-sponsors of the new medical marijuana law, state Sen. Bill Morrisette, said it's aimed at putting the program "on more solid footing" by making it easier for police to interpret the law and harder for criminals to exploit it.

"It protects these patients and plugs some of the loopholes law enforcement people were worried about," the Springfield Democrat said.

.......

Under the law taking effect Jan. 1, cardholders will be allowed to grow up to six mature plants and 18 seedlings and possess 24 ounces of dried marijuana.

2. Oh no sick people might get some relief...
ONDCP and the DEA please go arrest those suffering cancer patients on this taxpayers behalf.

Or stop wasting taxpayers money, whichever one seems irrational.

3. Big Pharma Drug Kingpins/DrugLords
aren't going to like this, people cutting into their drug market!

We can't allow people the right to self medicate, now can we.

There will be more DEA activity in the state relatively soon, oh say somewhere along the date of Jan. 1.

According to the Feds, Cannabis is not a "drug", yet it is the main focus on the "war on drugs"

They talk about medical marijuana sending the wrong message to the children. Yet they are the ones who are confused about whether it is a drug, or not. They are the ones in control of how the plant is scheduled by the class they choose to put it in.

They are the ones responsible for all the confusion!

While I'm on my soapbox, that new anti-pot commercial where the girl is sitting on the couch all deflated, what a joke!
Anybody who has smoked pot knows that it doesn't always make you deflated, sometimes it makes you think!
