Notwithstanding the disquiet in certain sections across the political spectrum, Parliament took the extreme step today of expelling 11 members ... for their involvement in the cash-for-questions scam and rectify the sad impression of the political class as a whole of not living up to the standards envisaged by the forefathers.

The argument of the BJP that proper procedure should be adopted in taking action against the unethical members rather than taking summary action failed to cut ice. The Congress and the Left maintained that the dignity of the House must be preserved not by any proclamation from the Supreme Court or any other court but by the members themselves.

Maybe we can learn some lessons from the world's largest democracy, certainly a lot cleaner and truer form of democracy than our lobbyMob play for pay game. Imagine, bouncing a member of Congress for taking cash!!!!!!
