Bush says presumes Justice Dept probe underway

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush said on Monday he presumed that a Justice Department leak investigation was underway into who disclosed a secret NSA eavesdropping operation.

At a news conference, Bush said he would continue to reauthorize the controversial program "so long as the nation faces the continuing threat of an enemy that wants to kill American citizens."

"There's a process that goes on inside the Justice Department about leaks. I presume that process is moving forward," Bush said. "My personal opinion is it was a shameful act for someone to disclose this very important program in a time of war."

5. No, it doesn't work like that any more.
Bush claims that congress DOES NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY to make him stop, whilst simultaneously arguing that they granted him the authority in the first place.
