Sen. Clinton: Iranian leader's Holocaust comments ``disgusting''

WASHINGTON (AP) _ Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said recent anti-Jewish comments by the president of Iran show the pressing need to address that country's nuclear ambitions.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in a televised speech Wednesday that the Holocaust was "a myth," sparking immediate condemnation from the White House and European leaders.

Clinton, D-N.Y., wrote to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Thursday denouncing the Iranian leader's speech as "outrageous and disgusting."

...

In her letter, Clinton said, "To deny the Holocaust places the President of Iran in company with the most despicable bigots and historical revisionists."

11. no I'm talking about

How the GOP over there is trying to get Mel Gibson to run against the gropenator in the primary because he hired a democratic consultant.

shameful time to be a republican in cali.

of course Ahnold is the nazi sympathizer since he was a good buddy of Kurt Waldheim and Mel is the Holocaust denier.

I wasn't talking about Angeledis at all.

7. No need for Hillary to worry, Israel will jump start the whole
conflict. Scud missile time, better make that a large popcorn with refills.

8. Good for her!
Seems too many are willing to dismiss his statements as simple "saber rattling" and should be ignored. That sounds so familiar!

But don't worry, someone will be along shortly to lay blame at Israel's feet or claim she will start the next war or have the US do it while making sure I media doesn't report it.

13. Next? Iran has got to be invaded because it's leader is a putz
Next? Venezuela has got to be invaded, or at least Chavez has got to be deposed, or assissinated or couped.

Next? With Hillary in charge, we can carry out all of those plans and win! You can bet Iran is on the next hit list--well maybe after we invade Syria although I do not think the good Senator from NY, formerly of DC, formerly of Arkansas, has weighed in yet on Chavez. But she has weighed in on the very pressing issue of "flag burning" and that is a very pressing issue at this time and date.

Kerry has weighed in on Chavez though.

16. Aw, Jeez, enough already. WHO cares what the President of Iran says?
The Holocaust happened. WE know that; the whole WORLD knows that...so who freakin' cares if one idiot denies it? Quit with the grandstanding and the sabre-rattling, Hil.
We have a whole bunch of 'revisionists' who are "outrageous and disgusting" here at home, and you are writing meaningless letters to them.

17. Israel cares
Probably because Mr Ahmadinejad said the following:

Iran's new president created a sense of outrage in the west yesterday by describing Israel as a "disgraceful blot" that should be "wiped off the face of the earth". Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who is more hardline than his predecessor, told students in Tehran that a new wave of Palestinian attacks would be enough to finish off Israel.

<snip>

But Mr Ahmadinejad rejected compromise: "There is no doubt that the new wave in Palestine will wipe off this stigma from the face of the Islamic world." Recalling the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, leader of Iran's Islamic revolution, he said: "As the imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map."

18. I think it's important, too.
Some folks think Israel has no right to exist, but I'm not one of them. And a nutbag leading Iran getting nukes...

It's at the very least cause for concern.
