Fence jumper expected to wed Chelsea Clinton, psych report says

WASHINGTON — The Arkansas man arrested this week for jumping the White House fence believed that Chelsea Clinton still lived there and he was destined to marry her, a psychological evaluation states.

Shawn Cox, 29, of Mammoth Spring was arrested by the U.S. Secret Service on Sunday for scaling and jumping over the fence on the north lawn of the White House. He has since been sent to St. Elizabeths Hospital, a Washington mental institution, for 30 days of further evaluation before his next court appearance Jan. 6.

A preliminary psychological evaluation from the District of Columbia Department of Mental Health says Cox had a history of receiving mental-health services in Washington and had been previously diagnosed as battling schizophrenia and paranoia.

The report was in court files made available Thursday.
In a 40-minute interview with Robert Benedetti, a licensed clinical psychologist, Cox said he had been hospitalized in Arkansas several years ago but could not give details.
When questioned about his actions, Benedetti’s report states, Cox appeared “grossly psychotic and manic in presentation.”

Sheesh! If I even hint that I work with a client--much less give diagnostic or historical info about them--I'm toast. Maybe, just maybe, the guy signed a Release of Information form so that someone could give press releases about him to the world. Otherwise, how are they allowed to give out this info?
