(CBS/AP) Box cutters were found on US Airways planes in Boston and Philadelphia on Tuesday, and federal officials said they were investigating how the tools made it on board. It was the second such discovery on U.S. aircraft in less than a month.

In Boston, the flight crew found a box cutter on a US Airways Express plane and it was turned over to authorities, said Deborah Thompson, spokeswoman for US Airways.

The flight had arrived from Rockland, Maine, and had no passengers aboard, said Ann Davis, spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Administration. The plane was allowed to leave for Syracuse, N.Y.

In Philadelphia, passengers were evacuated from a plane after the box cutter was found. The bladed tool was found tucked inside a seat-back pouch on a US Airways jet that had arrived from Houston and was about 20 minutes away from a scheduled departure for Phoenix, Davis said.

2. This is a diversion from the horrible Iraq developments

We are headed for a costly military failure in Iraq. I have little doubt that these box cutters were planted at the instigation of BFEE plotters to instill fear in the public and distract the very negative impact of the weekend news. The bogus propaganda connection between the "war on terrorism" and Iraq continues. Psy-war operation message: If the war on terrorism never ends then its okay if the war on Iraq never ends.

Bush didn't even change his fund raising schedule. $2000 a plate. CNN coyly wonders if media will be allowed to pay any respect to the dead. "Now that we have such a significant number of dead from this one dead we wonder if the Pentagon will change its policy in this instance against allowing coverage of the dead returning to Andover."

Orwellian translation: Will government censorship of the press concerning the casualties remain in force?

3. People are idiots...

Even if 20 terrorists tried to hijack a plane with samurai swords, the plane would NOT be hijacked.

Why?

The mind-set is different now. People will no longer sit and let terrorists hijack ANYTHING. Look what happened to the plane that crashed in PA. Box cutters mean nothing now.

Hell, put a guy on board with a GUN and see what happens when he tries to take a plane. It won't happen.
