Bush says no ransom, but will try to free Americans held in Iraq

WHITE HOUSE President Bush says the U-S will try to free Americans who are held captive in Iraq, but he says that won't include paying ransom.

Bush told reporters at the White House that the U-S will use its intelligence-gathering to try to locate them.

He spoke on the same day that Al-Jazeera broadcast a video claiming that insurgents had kidnapped a U-S security consultant. A blond, Western-looking man was shown with his hands tied behind his back. Also seen was a U-S passport and an identification card.

9. And had absolutely no knowledge that 20 highly-trained terrorists
...planned to hijack 4 commercial airliners and crash them into well-known American landmarks.

Condi: Mr. President? We have information that Osama is determined to strike inside United States...

Bush: So? What's the point?

7. I recall that they said they did not want a violent rescue
These seem to be people who take Jesus's admonition to turn the other cheek extremely seriously.
