2. Iran is a sovereign nation. It is no threat to the US
unless we decide make hostile flights in to Iran.

8. Iran probably has plenty of people in the military willing to smuggle

those weapons to Iraq. The highest levels of government don't necessarily have to be involved in order to do something like that.

That isn't an excuse to invade them, but it is cuase to worry.

9. Well a couple of points, but why worry?
I suspect these are not shoulder launched missles, but rather real anti-aircraft missles. You really cannot smuggle these anywhere without detection.

But unless the US plans on sending air strikes against Iran they are NO threat to the US at all.

And, even if the US _is_ intending air-strikes, the ability of the US to neutralize Russian anti-aircraft missle batteries is abundant.

Sure it might cost a handful of planes and pilots, but when has THAT stopped BFEE?

7. Nah, he is just a good businessman. Capitalism is selling to those
who want something that you have.

This is what free markets are all about!

Israel getting skittish...

Farkash sets deadline for strike on Iran

After March Israel must be prepared to use means other than diplomacy to halt Iran's nuclear weapons program, warned the head of the military intelligence Wednesday.

Military Intelligence Chief Aharon Zeevi Farkash would not detail other options, but sources on the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, which Farkash was addressing, said it was clear that Israel would have to consider taking military action against Iran.

"In my years here, seeing the data I have seen, I feel it is clear that Iran has passed the point of no return," said committee chairman Yuval Steinitz (Likud). "It is accurate to say that unless Iran encounters a major interference, it will have a functioning nuclear arsenal within one or two years."
