Bush Mourns Fallen Troops in (radio) Address
CRAWFORD, Texas -- In a Thanksgiving weekend radio address to Americans, President Bush mourned the growing number of fallen troops but vowed to keep fighting for the cause they died for.

Bush thanked U.S. service members and military families "who are making great sacrifices to advance freedom's cause" in his weekly radio address Saturday.

"We think especially this week of those military families who are mourning the loss of loved ones," Bush said. "The military families who mourn the fallen can know that America will not forget their sacrifice, and they can know that we will honor that sacrifice by completing the noble mission for which their loved ones gave their lives."

Bush also asked Americans to donate to victims from last month's earthquake in South Asia. He quoted from the Bible to encourage charity....

1. So let's get some more soldiers killed so the ones who were already killed
didn't die in vain. How big will the black Wall for this war finally be?

21. Oh no, honey, georgy is allergic to grieving mothers.
He can't get close to them unless he wears garlic and carries a silver bullet. War is his "thing" but blood and death and grief aren't allowed to bother his beautiful mind.

4. "vowed to keep fighting" So which is it, blivet? Are you going to
withdraw the troops or 'stay the course'? Some clarity would be welcome. :banghead:

11. Well, there's one business that
Edited on Sat Nov-26-05 12:28 PM by LibDemAlways
seems to be thriving under the Bush Crime Family. The makers of prosthetic devices are clearly benefitting from the BFEE policy of turning young Americans into amputees.

Casket makers, too, are enjoying big profits thanks to these thugs as well.

Dead and maimed soldiers....used and discarded for an evil neocon agenda.....the Bush Crime Family legacy.

6. Most fellow Vetrans I talk to
(Vietnam era)believe that George Bush's war is senseless.......They agree with the majority that its time to stop the useless loss of lives.I think George Bush's stay the course theory is after the US oil companies (his big contributors)controls Iraq oil than to him the mission will be accomplish.

7. Who buys into this crap anymore? What 30% of the public?
Bush said. "The military families who mourn the fallen can know that America will not forget their sacrifice"

This administration would prefer you never know them, by not allowing pictures of the flag draped coffins returning to the US. Sends Dick "5 deferments" Cheney to honor vets on veterans day. Being an Army vet: What an insult!

"He quoted from the Bible to encourage charity...."

What a laugh, follow Chavezes example for supplying low cost fuel-oil to poor Americans in Massachusetts.

14. "He quoted from the Bible to encourage charity...."
and from the NYTimes:

House leaders are pushing a $63-billion tax-cutting package that would extend President Bush's tax cut on stock dividends, protect oil companies from a windfall profits tax and shield people caught using illegal tax shelters.

Charity really does begin at home!

17. He's disgusting
He's also trying to slash welfare payments, and tighten work requirements. He has the NERVE to quote the bible about charity, and then this:

"House leaders are pushing a $63-billion tax-cutting package that would extend President Bush's tax cut on stock dividends, protect oil companies from a windfall profits tax and shield people caught using illegal tax shelters."

Why the hell should a law shield people doing something illegal? Well, of course, if they use the tax shelters, they're probably not poor, so Bush automatically wants to protect them.

As far as the war goes, the troops are most definitely not protecting freedom by invading a helpless country and killing it's citizens. There is no "noble cause". This is a war because Bush wanted to be a war President, and to reward his cronies with billions of dollars in tax-payer money by awarding no-bid contracts to the same gang of criminals.

Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, about Bush has been a tragedy and disaster for this country.

10. What a mess Bush has created.
He himself must realize that. At some point, they must have realized that this war is not worth it. At the rate of money we're spending, we could have BOUGHT Iraq; given $500,000 to every Iraqi and everybody would have been friends.

Not to mention the injured U.S. troops. Bush truly is living in a hell he himself has created. Look at all the energy the man has spent making speeches, fighting against critics, being humiliated and embarrassed in S. America, getting nowhere in China, surrounded by 2,000 security guards, he's basically a prisoner in the White House.

And no, he won't meet with Cindy Sheehan.

18. Excuse me but if
bush wants to quote scripture and use it like some revival tent peacher then he is so far off the mark. Maybe he should read psalms 119 v 130 but then again he is not simple, he is maybe one of the following: Moron: A person whose IQ lies between 45 and 59. Slightly stupider than a retard (60-69) but still smarter than an idiot (below 45).

you are poor little Texas ranchers this week? Your family could rebuild New Orleans and not even feel the pinch.

23. Most heads of state mourn the fallen by attending a funeral or two...
or at least bringing a plastic turkey to a bunch of the soon to be fallen. This guy is pathetic. It's actually getting tiresome pointing it out all the time. For the first time since his election I actually feel like turning my attention to something other than getting him ousted from office. Perhaps this is the most brilliant Rove plan of all!!! "See, here's what we're gonna do, see. Just keep f-ing up. F- up so bad that people just assume that all you can do is f- up. Then when nobody's lookin' we'll declare martial law and kill us some libruls."
