Cincinnati - As a $33.91-an-hour air-pollution control worker for the Ohio EPA, Glen Greenwood has paid dues or fees since the 1970s to the union that represents state workers.

Greenwood also is an elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, a small town on the edge of the state's Appalachian region. He believes the Bible teaches that abortion is the taking of human life and homosexual conduct is immoral.

So when Greenwood learned of the union's pro-choice stand on abortion, and its support for gay rights, he sought permission to stop paying the fees...

Now the Bush administration has challenged Ohio's labor contract with 36,000 public employees, arguing in federal court in Columbus that the state violated religious freedoms guaranteed under the 1964 Civil Rights Act by sticking to the contract...

4. That's what is all about. Break the Unions and the corporations
have control over the government.

It's not about people and rights, or honesty and integrity, it's all about money and control.

8. Has this fool considered why he makes >$30/Hr?
I wonder if it has even occurred to him.

The cons never miss a chance to put the workers in their place.

but has anyone considered that without the right to vote, those agents within the government (the Representatives, Senators and Executive) have broken a contract with the citizens. This contract is called the Constitution.

Now seeing how this contract has been unilaterally broken by the agents of the government, this means our end of the contract (to pay taxes) should also be null and voided.

It's part of the deal between us and the government. And the agents have broken that deal by subverting our right to elect who will represent us in the government.

In addition, any law they may have passed since 2000, it is worth little more than the paper it's printed on. Without the legal binding contract, they have no right, legally or morally, to make and enforce laws. Other than the right of force, but force is hardly a moral stand.
