FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE


U.S. Soldier dies of non-combat wounds

Ali Al Salem, Kuwait – A U.S. soldier was pronounced dead from non-combat related causes at the Logistics Support Area Troop Medical Clinic at approximately 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The name of the soldier is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and will be published in the coming days on the U.S. Department of Defense web site: http://www.defenselink.mil/releases/.

The incident is under investigation.

1. Another death
The soldier is just as dead, whether he died from combat wounds or not. Another heartbroken family, left with a hole in their lives.

I find this more disturbing than I thought I would.
Like the big death machine is in play,
grinding grinding away.
2001 is a hell of a lot of people by any measure

4. What are non-combat wounds?
Wounds sound to me like they come from combat... I guess accidents with tools and suicide are other possibilities.
