McCain to Campaign for Schwarzenegger's Ballot Initiatives
http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGB7G6ALJEE.html

By Beth Fouhy Associated Press Writer

Published: Oct 8, 2005

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - To help promote his "year of reform" ballot initiatives, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has turned to one of the best known political reformers on the national stage - Arizona Sen. John McCain.

The Republicans will campaign together Monday for the measures Schwarzenegger is promoting on the Nov. 8 ballot, Schwarzenegger campaign spokesman Todd Harris said.

(snip)

"It's ironic that McCain would offer to 'pump up' Arnold's campaign, considering he is a well-known activist against the kind of 'obscene' and 'vulgar' fundraising practiced by Team Schwarzenegger," strategists Andrew Acosta and Roger Salazar said in a statement on behalf of the California Democratic Party.

Last I checked, this nutjob McLame doesn't even live in California.

He should stick to whoring in AZ.

I too like this statement:

"It's ironic that McCain would offer to 'pump up' Arnold's campaign, considering he is a well-known activist against the kind of 'obscene' and 'vulgar' fundraising practiced by Team Schwarzenegger," strategists Andrew Acosta and Roger Salazar said in a statement on behalf of the California Democratic Party.

The lame-Fck repuke had no choice but turn to the whore McLame because big city mayors here in California are against his shit.

2. President John McCain in his clown suit
I once thought that Kerry's investigation into a Kerry-McCain ticket was a viable solution to overcoming the Republican ballot stealing. Glad McCain's fixation with being the President only, kept him the hell away from that possibility. He is a hack, a buffoon that served our country admirably but is no longer fit for any higher office.

6. anyone remember how McCAin yelled at Maria Shriver in 2000 ?
it was when he was going down in the primary and McCain said something to her about getting out of his face in a very angry bitter tone.

and Arnold's response to that was something like "he finally told her what i have been waiting for years to say to her" while laughing.

of course we found out more about his sexist attitudes later on.

12. I remember that!
Right after he lost the Republican Primary, she ran up to him, microphone in hand, and said "How do you feel"? He told her to "get the hell out of here"! LOL!

Edited on Sat Oct-08-05 08:35 AM by teryang
He's a hot head. Absolutely the wrong person to put in the white house.

He also believes that more military force and a bigger Pentagon budget is the solution to diplomatic impasses. As if we haven't had enough of that. He believes we could have won the war in Vietnam. He is part of the syndrome of war mongers who seek to avenge the humiliating vietnam diaster and the harm it did to the claims of American military prowess.

All of which goes to indicate that he has a very superficial understanding of war and diplomacy. With McCain, it's all personality politics, and hero worship. He's a mediocre leader with a bad temper and lack of insight.

mediocre leader, bad temper, lack of insight - where have we heard that before? Oddly, like Bush, McCain now has the media eating out of his hand.

7. Funny...Ohio has the SAME INITIATIVE on the ballot, which McCain opposes!
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x2144036

By endorsing Kenneth Blackwell, McCain is opposing the Reform Ohio Now Initiatives, which include the same anti-gerrymandering measure that Arnold has on the CA ballot.

Looks like McCain's transfered off the "Straight Talk Express" and on to the "Tell Them What They Want to Hear and Clear out of Town Vespa".

Let's face it...McCain is just Dick Cheney with a better back story.

14. He still has a 'shred' of dignity? Where? You must be mistaken. He sold
all his dignity and integrity out years ago. Years and years ago. He sold it to Charles Keating.

He's been running on bluster and bullshit ever since.

19. and to think I used to actually respect this guy
He's lost all credibility with me. He has no balls and has allowed himself to be bullied. I thought his experience made him stronger than that. He's still a prisoner of right wing ideologue.

21. Watched "Bush's Brain" on LINK TV last nite ...
something is wrong with this picture. They have done or said something to McCain in order for him to do this. There isn't any normal person that I know who would kiss up and do this after what they did to him. IMO, it's like he's a prisoner all over again :/

Edited on Sat Oct-08-05 01:30 PM by blue agave
He has had a few chances in the past to crawl out of the sewer and make something out of himself. But he continually reverts back to the dark side.

Arnie's approval ratings here in ca are down in the toilet side-by-side with shrub. McCain can only make himself look worse by comming here.

26. Because no California Senators support him ...
So he has to get them from other states.

McCain can go back to Arizona. These issues don't have anything to do with him or his constituents.

34. wow
not a McCain fan, due to his voting record, but I haven't heard the inferences of his "being turned" while held as a POW since Karl Rove led the whisper campaign going into the 2000 South Carolina Primary. Hadn't heard it prior to then either. He has enough in his voting record to criticize - and his going to help Arnie just adds to the list - I would leave his POW time to the roves of the world to spew as slander.

30. I think everytime McCain senses blood in the White House moat,
blood in the White House moat, he returns to this
shuck and jive mode in the hope that if Bush and Cheney
get the ousting they truly deserve, the party will reward him
for being the "good Republican" by appointing him the Vice President
before Georgie resigns in disgrace.
